The short answer
About Image Med Spa is at 2915 Hunter Mill Rd, Suite 22, Oakton VA 22124. We regularly see clients from thirteen communities across Fairfax and Arlington counties, from four minutes away in Oakton to about forty minutes from Old Town Alexandria. We offer laser and electrolysis hair removal, chemical peels, HydraFacial, microneedling and radiofrequency microneedling, body and scalp treatments, and permanent makeup. Each community below has its own guide, because the honest advice genuinely differs depending on where you are starting from.
Why There Is a Guide for Each Place
Most service area pages are one page of copy with the city name swapped out. That is not useful to anybody, and it is not what these are.
The constraint that matters is different in each direction. In Burke it is a rail commute, which makes holding a four to six week appointment interval genuinely hard. In Great Falls it is well water and a lot of time outdoors with no walk-in clinic in town. In Alexandria it is simply distance, which changes how much a single consultation has to accomplish. Each guide is written around the thing that actually decides what we would recommend there.
The Thirteen Guides
Select a community on the map to read the guide written for it. Each one is a full guide rather than a landing page, because the honest advice genuinely differs depending on where you are starting from.

Every guide is also linked below the map with a line on what it covers.
- Med Spa Serving Oakton: our own neighborhood, and what changes when your practitioner is four minutes away.
- Med Spa Serving Vienna: what an esthetician may and may not do in Virginia, and when a med spa is the wrong door entirely.
- Med Spa Serving Tysons: which treatments genuinely fit around a workday and which need a Friday.
- Med Spa Serving McLean: how long a course really takes, and how to plan one around a calendar you do not control.
- Med Spa Serving Great Falls: well water, outdoor exposure, and the nearest urgent care being further than you think.
- Med Spa Serving Fairfax: why skin tone decides which laser wavelength is safe for you.
- Med Spa Serving Falls Church: the two licenses worth checking before you book anywhere, and how to look them up.
- Med Spa Serving Reston: timing a course by season, and why late September is the easiest start.
- Med Spa Serving Arlington: building a treatment plan around a training week rather than against it.
- Med Spa Serving Alexandria: the farthest point we serve, and how to make one visit produce the whole plan.
- Med Spa Serving Springfield: what to use at home between appointments, and what quietly works against the treatment.
- Med Spa Serving Annandale: why hair color, not equipment quality, decides whether laser can work at all.
- Med Spa Serving Burke: running a course around a rail commute, and what a slipped session actually costs.
What We Actually Do
The guides above are about place. These are the treatments themselves, in more detail than a service area page can carry.
For unwanted hair there are two tools and they are not interchangeable. Laser hair removal is efficient over large areas but needs pigment in the hair to work at all, and the honest description of the outcome is permanent reduction with maintenance rather than permanent removal. Electrolysis treats one follicle at a time and is unaffected by hair color, which makes it the answer for gray, red, blonde and very fine hair.
For skin, a HydraFacial is the low-commitment option with no fixed interval and nothing to recover from. Chemical peels and the Hollywood carbon peel work in a course, as does microneedling and Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling. PRX is the option when downtime is the constraint.
We also offer scalp treatments and head spa, body treatments, CryoSculpting, and a range of facials. If you are not sure which of these applies to you, that is what a consultation is for, and saying so is a perfectly good starting point.
How Far Is Too Far
Worth saying plainly, because nobody selling a service usually will.
A single treatment is worth a long drive. HydraFacial, a one-off peel, a consultation: if you are forty minutes away and you want one of those, the distance is a non-issue.
A course is a different calculation. Laser hair removal means six to eight visits spaced four to six weeks apart, which is most of a year. Before starting that from the far edge of our service area, do the arithmetic honestly: eight round trips at forty minutes each is a real commitment, and a course abandoned halfway is worse value than one never started. We would rather have that conversation at the consultation than in month five.
What often works better at distance is choosing treatments that tolerate an unpredictable calendar, or booking the whole course in advance at a fixed day and time so it survives a busy month. Either way, tell us the constraint and we will build around it.
When to See a Physician Instead
This applies everywhere we serve, so it belongs here rather than only in the individual guides.
Anything changing, not healing, bleeding, spreading or steadily worsening belongs with a doctor before it belongs with us. A mole or spot that has changed shape, size or color. A sore that has not healed in several weeks. Sudden or patchy hair loss. Cystic acne that scars. Treating the appearance of something can delay a diagnosis and can remove the visual evidence a dermatologist would have wanted to see.
We are an esthetics practice, not a medical clinic, and part of a good consultation is telling you when the answer is somebody else. If a reaction is spreading quickly, if there is significant swelling, or if breathing is affected, that is emergency care now. Call 911.
Booking From Anywhere in the Area
Every visit is by appointment, parking is free and at the door, and Saturdays are available by arrangement. The suite number matters: we are in a multi-tenant professional building and the entrance is not obvious from Hunter Mill Road.
If you know what you want, book it. If you do not, get in touch and describe the problem rather than the treatment. Which of the tools above fits is our job to work out, and it is a better conversation than trying to self-diagnose from a menu.
