What Is Cryosculpting?
CryoSculpting is a nonsurgical body-contouring treatment that uses controlled temperatures to target localized areas of stubborn fat beneath the skin. The treatment is performed with a handheld applicator, allowing the provider to address specific areas with precision.
Following treatment, the body gradually processes the affected fat cells over time. This progressive process helps refine the treated area without incisions, anesthesia, or surgery.
Because results develop gradually, the treated area can appear slimmer, smoother, and more naturally contoured rather than suddenly altered. Individual results vary.
CryoSculpting vs. CoolSculpting®
Although both names are associated with cooling-based body contouring, CryoSculpting and CoolSculpting® are not the same service.
CoolSculpting® is a specific trademarked system with its own manufacturer, applicators, treatment protocols, FDA-cleared indications, published statistics, safety information, and required brand language. About Image Med Spa does not offer CoolSculpting®.
CryoSculpting at About Image Med Spa uses the practice’s selected equipment and individualized treatment protocol. Any claims about treatment areas, session length, expected outcomes, or safety should therefore relate to the CryoSculpting device and protocol actually used by the practice—not to CoolSculpting® studies or marketing materials.
